Since his first novel, inspired by the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II, Korean writer, Lee Seung-U, has published five short story collections and nine award-winning novels, including The Reverse Side of Life (a finalist for the Prix Femina) and Magnolia Park. His latest novel to be translated into English is The Private Lives of Plants, a strange, enchanting story of love in all its unexpected forms.
Join Lee at the International Literature Festival Dublin for a talk about his work and the subjects that inspire him. The event will be chaired by journalist Eileen Battersby and will take place Saturday, May 28, at City Wall Space, Wood Quay Venue at 2:00 PM.
